Villa Belica is located in a quiet village of holiday chalets just a few minutes drive from Slovenia's beautiful Lake Bohinj, which many consider to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country! Several paths lead from the village into the surrounding hills and forests and down to the Lake which is a truly wonderful place to spend a time in Summer or Winter.

Kayaking and rafting trips as well as world class fly-fishing are possible on the Sava Bohinjka river which runs from Lake Bohinj (fishing licenses are available for both the river and the Lake). Surrounded by mountains, the area offers an abundance of beautiful walking and biking to suit all abilities and is the start point for 2-3 day treks to Mount Triglav, Slovenia’s highest peak at 2864m. Skiing is also one of the regions strong points with the cable car going up to the ski resort of Vogel above Lake Bohinj just 5-10 minutes drive from Villa Belica. Vogel is one of Slovenia’s best resorts, with a simply beautiful setting, an impressive snow record and a wide range of shorter and longer on and off piste trails to suit all abilities. Skiing is also possible at the resort of Kobla which is 5-10 minutes drive from Villa Belica in the other direction. From the holiday chalet of Villa Belica, Bohinj it is only a few minutes by car to a variety of restaurants and bars. Bohinjska Bistrica is also just a few minutes away by car which is a small town with a range of useful amenities including supermarket, bank, post office and modern water park with both excellent pools and spa facilities. From Bohinjska Bistrica, a convenient car train service takes you very quickly to the beautiful Soca valley region along what is reputedly one of Europe’s most beautiful train lines. Another major attraction in close proximity is world famous Lake Bled with its stunning castle and island church - just 20 minutes from the Villa.
