Located in the Kranjska Gora ski region of Slovenia, this holiday rental chalet is located in Ratece - a characteristic rustic village with an easy going pace of life just 5 minutes drive from Kranjska Gora and in an excellent position for exploring the wonderful Julian Alps, just a stone's throw from the Austrian & Italian borders and ideally positioned to explore the Kranjska Gora ski area and the wide range of other excellent ski areas in the region. The famous Tamar Valley (home of the world famous Planica ski jump centre) is just a few minutes away from the Villa & a breathtaking place for walking, as is the whole Triglav National park easily accessible by car from Kranjska Gora. Watersports on the Soca river are easily accessible for daytrips as are the famous lakes at Bohinj & Bled. As for skiing, you can see three ski areas from the Villa and it is easily possible to ski a different resort every day for a week. Kranjska Gora skiing (the closest resort to the villa) is ideally suited for beginners and families whilst other resorts in the Kranjska Gora area offer a range of ski opportunities for different levels. In Ratece village there a number of superb traditional Slovenian alpine "gostilnas" (taverns), bars,a supermarket and petrol station all within walking distance of Villa Planina. In Kranjska Gora itself (5 minutes drive from the ski chalet), there are an abundance of tourist facilities, from restaurants to bars, shops, spas & pools.
